‘My paintings take on many forms until they find their final shape. I try to express the true nature, the essence of my surroundings and like sea, beach and the seasons, renewal and change are an integral part of my art…’

Abstraction, a reduced color palette and a strong sense for composition are essential elements of Ann-Christin’s work. Painting in layers, pouring, scratching, rubbing, her art is a process of constant renewal, while creating depth as well as complexity, and giving her paintings a timeless quality. At the same time, she imbues her work with a physical connection to the here-and-now by adding sand and other objects she collects on her daily walks.

Ann-Christin Kaiser started working life as an architect, raised two children and lived in seven different countries. Painting has been her passion since she was a teen. She has participated in numerous workshops by renowned artists, and exhibited in The Netherlands as well as abroad.

Concerned for the protection of our oceans and their wildlife, she regularly organizes beach clean-ups and environmental art workshops for adults and children.

Ann-Christin loves living in Wassenaar, a beach community in South Holland, and she has been a member of the Wassenaar Kunstgroep since 2018.
